Coolant Leak

Featured Replies

Hi newbie here, :P i have a 2005 focus tdci which has developed a nice coolant leak, the nasty little hose in question is the one at the back right hand side of the engine. i think there is two hoses and it seems to be coming from the bottom one, ive taken the air box, battery and case out but cant seem to take out the intake pipe out(does this come off)and its making it very awkward to get to the hose and clips.also any suggestions on what to use on those nasty little clips that hold the hose on with

any help would be most appreciated :) post-55159-0-33739100-1402240942_thumb.j

Hello and welcome.

The spring clips can be a nightmare when you are trying to remove them in awkward locations.

I have a long reach flexi tool specifically for removing them which if your doing it often enough is great!!

But pump pliers are also good for removing them - what I used to use all the time with no hassle and never been beaten by a clip yet!
