Randomly Opening Rear Window

Hi there,

Have had my focus over a year and a half. It's 03 focus TDCI Ghia. The rear passenger side window randomly opens. When I try to close it it doesn't for a few minutes. Then when I try again it will. The problem seems worse when the car is using a lot of power. The alternator has been tested, the battery is brand new (however the + terminal corrodes quick), I've got standard Speakers, rarely use air con ect....don't know why it's happening?

Fuse box in glove box?

Ps anyone know how to replace foam insert by the pollen filter? Does that help keep water out? Don't know if I have a leak when it rains.

Please help?

I expect its an electric window?

If so, remove the door card and disconnect the wire that runs to the switch, then drive around for a few days. If the window doesnt open you probably have a faulty switch on the back door. If you have the control panel on your door for all four windows, then disconnect that, and drive around for a few days (it will be a bit inconvenient as you cannot open your window) but it should help to narrow down which switch needs replacing. The back door, or your control panel.
