Sinking Boot After Space Saver Help

Featured Replies

Hi i've just stuck a 15" space saver in my fiesta but noticed the carpet sinks a little it's not to bad but I was wondering what people have done to counter this if anything?

I think that you will find that there is a polysterene ring that sits on the boot floor under the wheel.

The cheap answer is a piece of plywood under the carpet.

I've read that people use plywood underneath I'll look into that. Any ideas what size & thickness? Do you bother cutting it to the spare wheel size or just a straight peice??

I've seen some tyres with a polystyrene ring on eBay but can't find them anywhere
