Yeah, I walked into the parts counter, explained the situation, gave them the keycode and they quoteed me £65, told me that they do not sell just the key and I needed to buy a full new set of nuts. Much like Karl, I laughed, asked WTF and walked out. Called the service team later that day and they sorted it for me for a fiver :D

Oh. I never got any luck from ford. The guy behind the counter gave me a look of well !Removed! off and good luck getting them off.

So I don't expect much from them anymore.

i was told by bristol street, that if i had my card they could order 1 from germany and it would take 1 week maybe longer..

rang endon up this morning, told them, gave them the code, they promised me it would be there on the counter by dinner time wednesday.... good service

Its only because I paid there wages for a week the amount of times I had to go in, thats the only reason I managed to swindle it!

I think you will find out that 99.9% of ford parts people are absolutely clueless often makes you wonder why they are employed you go in there with even an ounce of knowledge and there stumped we don't do that part sir well whys it on the !Removed! car then.

haha, they do the part, but you have to buy the one on the forecourt to get it ;)

They employ them because there PC Monkeys. they can click here, here then there and give you a price, but the amount of times I tried to explain a part to someone after they couldnt find how to search for the FINIS code, and that took long enough.

I recall one day taking the mouse from him, navigating eCat and getting my part number and price myself...

The guy I saw was fresh from school and probably couldn't tell a wheel from a disk brake.

I just fort if there employing knobs like this now god knows what it will be like in years to come.

Im quite lucky with my local stealer, they have a great knowledge of the cars and last time I went in they gave me a 10% discount, not amazing I know but it knocked about 7 quid off as I had ordered some assorted screws and new locking nuts

and also. this could be why people go to different spanners etc.... due to cost, and lack of knowledge and school leavers working on ur pride and joy................

I don't think I'd let anyone at my local ford even clean my car. Even the sales team are thick.
