jackgl
What's everyone's thoughts on this? http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN0EN2AK20140612?irpc=932 Before I got the ST I never got anything like 50+ mph from my 1.0 ecoboost. SandyCat
This doesn't apply to the EU where manufacturers are forced to publish figures created in a laboratory. Manufacturers are not allowed to publish real world figures because they cannot be independently controlled. The EU mpg figures are designed for comparison purposes between vehicles using similar conditions and are not designed to suggest it's what you will get in the real world. This works very well expect the way they are published leads you to think they are what you will actually get. They should replace the system with a grading like they do with white goods because it is misleading. The US article relates to figures that are controlled by Ford but were deemed to be misleading.
