Fiesta Mk6 Bonnet Latch With Alarm

Featured Replies

Hi

Does anyone know where I can buy a mk7 (2009) bonnet latch with alarm sensor?

My wife's car alarm keep going off on Friday night caused by a faulty sensor on the bonnet latch. For now I've bypasses the sensor by bridging the connector with a bit of wire.

I've tried lots of wd40 in case it's sticking but that hasn't worked.

I've looked in the net but can only latches for mk6 & below.

Does anyone know if it's possible to just replace the sensor instead of the whole latch?

Thanks

Adam

Two options, buy one from a scrappie or pick one off up ebay.

I'll dig through Microcat for you in the morning for the Ford price and availability.

There are two latches listed for the MK7 with alarm sensors.

The one within your registration year has an italic Finis code which to me means that it is a legacy part (i.e. Discontinued or superceded).

The second one is for 2012 only but I believe it is an upgraded part, probably due to rubbish sensors (as you well know by now ;))

Prices are in Euros.

Take the Finis code to Ford and they can order you the part easily.
