Burton Posted June 4, 2009 Share Posted June 4, 2009 hi all, finally my fofi has arrived! too bad i cant get it until tomorrow afternoon due to some insurance stuff :( just for u to know: its a titanium with the full style kit, 16" alloys and tinted windows - altough i dont know if it has the same specs as the titaniums in the uk since im fom austria, but here it is the top fiesta model. i ordered it onr april 20th, so fortuantly i didnt have to wait for as long as some u had and still have to (i really can feel ur pain). gonna upload some pics in a few days... ;) greets burt Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The last Ford to do it was the Focus when it took over from the Escort and that time they re-named the model to make sure that there was no confusion and to be honest I am surprised that they did not do it again with this new model. Have to say that it is not often that a car comes out that just makes the previous model look so out of date. I think it really suits the Fiesta (though ours is a white one, which is also pretty smart). I believe Ford were all set to call our car the Ford Verve (like the show car prototype) but then decided that there was so much positive history with the Fiesta name that they should keep it. I am indeed considering the all-new Fiesta - although after weeks of contemplation - I'm still no nearer making a decision! I currently drive a Citroen C2 1.6 VTR which is on the Motability scheme & due for replacement this coming September. I've narrowed my options down to the Fiesta, the new Mk6 VW Golf, and the Mazda 2. The TSi Golf is very nice & very powerful with its 1.4 turbo-charged engine & 7-speed DSG (auto) box. All that comes at a hefty advance payment though (almost a grand infact). The Mazda 2 is a lovely car...but not available at this moment in time in the UK with an auto box. It is however due here "this summer" (so Mazda inform me) in automatic version - but I have to order a new car around the beginning of July in order to allow for the build/ delivery of my new car for the swap-over in September. As most of you will know; European car factories close down for 3 weeks in the summer to allow the workers to have their holidays. Finally - there's the new Fiesta. I like the Fiesta...and it's available in automatic too! I'd probably go for the 1.4 Titanium auto - and in Squeeze. VW? Mazda 2? Fiesta? Decisions decisions!
