2002 1.6 Focus Spluttering

I have had this car 2 months got it cheap and now its starting to play up

At first I said clutch but I don't think it is

When car is cold it is a nightmare to start takes a couple turns before she fires up

Then when under acceleration from first to second it splutters

Is this clutch or fuel related? Any suggestions guys

    I suggest you have it fully serviced. That include the spark plugs and fuel filter, all filters and oil.

    1.6 petrol it is going in for the plugs and filters tommorow

    Had a service today and still the same sounds like exhaust or cat is rattling inside cat could be goosed also think a pipe is brust near manifold

    Check the engine bay for any cracked pipes. Fuel filter changed as well?
