I have a 2003 model focus.when I'm driving over uneven roads I can hear banging from the drivers side iv recently replaced track rod end, suspension spring and anti roll bracket cause they were goosed any suggestions thanks

    I'm not to clever when it comes to cars but iv noticed when if I put my foot on the brake slightly as if it's just nipping it it stops while driving over uneven surfaces

    It is most likely the suspension top mount need replacing. I have had the same symptoms on a few cars where the knocking occurs on uneven surfaces.

    How do u check the top mount any help would be great

    Problem solved the caliper pin had not been tightened properly so caliper was banging against the brake disk

    cliper pins... same thing happened to me after changing the front brakes, i didnt tighten one of the bolts tight enough and it worked its way loose and seized the brakes.. luckily i was in the tesco car park when it happened.
