hi everyone,

im in the process of changing the clutch in a 2009 ford fiesta 1.6tdci

its all mounted and all good,

my boss wanted to bleed the clutch,

here is the problem:

with the bleeder valve open the clutch pedal goes all the way down and up, like normal operation,

but with the bleeder valve closed the pedal turns to rock about half way down, like u cant push it any longer.

can anyone tell me whats the problem?

thanks alot

It sounds like an issue with the slave cylinder. With the bleed valve open the pressure is escaping, with it closed the release bearing is moving slightly and then sticking/jamming perhaps?
