Hi all

I'm hoping someone out there may have experienced an issue I am having with the voice control on my 2012 focus titanium x.

It's an intermittent issue. What happens is this. I'll start the car up and I can use the system to make a phone call once I've finished the call I'll end it and carry on driving.

Sometimes when I go to make another call I pull the trigger on the back of the steering wheel the stereo mutes but I can't do anything. I don't get the beep or the "say a command" sentence.

All I can do is pull the trigger again and the stereo comes back on. It's worth noting that when this happens the iPod no longer works (this is plugged in in the glovebox) and I can't stream music over Bluetooth from my phone either.

I have to get to my destination switch off the car. When I come back to the car it works again.

I assume it must be a software glitch so I was thinking about taking it in to get it looked at as I've only had it 4 months. But I did read somewhere that it maybe possible for me to update the software myself.

So if you have experienced this or know anything about the software update I'd love to hear your thoughts

There's an update available on the Ford website, here's the link to it. Hope it solves your problems, there are instructions on how to carry out the update too.
