St225 Cambelt

Just wondering when the cambelt will need doing on my 2005 ST2. she has covered 88K now and is it wise to have it done regardless?



i wouldnt have even left it that long most will advise 60k miles and a full kit belt idlers etc ide have it done asap

Fair play - I did read somewhere that they are usually good for 120k?

I would always get it done before the recommended time because you would not want it to snap on you.

120k yeah well ford say that to make it sound good youll also read some have snapped at 70k due to tensioners failing the interval applies only to the belt not to the tensioners and pulleys and its usually a failed tensioner that takes out the belt
