You just need a re-gas.

Common thing to all a/c fitted cars.

Agreed, over time the gas disperses, as such you then need to top it up to get the best out of it!

I'm asking is there a known issue with Hot cold switching? Because some air isn't as cold as it should be.

is it actually coming out hot then cold then hot again?

Hi.it feels as tho the hot cold air switch is not closing the hot air off enough to make it as cold as the cold air should be .

I still recommend a re-gas.

The system may still be full but the refrigerant does degrade over time.

have to agree with Clive, I had this issue a month ago on my Mondeo, exactly the same thing, but my issue was a leaky compressor. Got that resolved and it was fine, before that though, as soon as the gas was topped up it was perfect for a day, then it evaporated then it was back to how you describe it.

[attachment this has been what I'd been enquiring about.i knew and said prev that air con was ok !

In this pic I removed the hot / cold temp cable from back of dash dial.

BUT it had came off at the other end thus not moving the hot/cold valve near the heater matrix .

I've fixed it .

So the Bowden cable had detached from the selector flap?

Yes .

Never heard of the cable spontaneously disconnecting itself.

I've heard of vent selector cables twisting apart (large spring cable with the green ends) but not the heater vent one.

good result! must agree havent heard it coming off alone.
