JC600
Thought it was about time I cleaned the Focus as it hasn't been done for weeks! :o Well all clean and shiny again. :D Thinking about getting some Eibach lowering springs but there's loads of speed bumps and pot holes on the way to my house.
b4zz
cant beat a nice clean car. that's why I wount lower mine im happy with how it looks.
JC600
I think it would look good with a 20mm drop, but it's the compromise that I'm worried about. Had plenty of lowered cars, but the roads have just got worse and worse.
Hassen
If you want to go the full hog, Bilstein Eibach do the B-12 Pro Kit. Bilstein B8 dampers and Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs (approx 30mm drop). This is the cheapest place I found it online. I myself plan on getting this once my dampers need replacing. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360965149963?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Also, if you just want the springs, cheapest place I found it was eBay Germany including shipping. Lenny has the Eibach Prokit on his car with 18" alloys. It looks ace and the car is more level now rather than higher at the back. Plus, I don't remember his complaining about speed bumps or potholes so far. With the 17" alloys you got, I reckon the advantages outweight the drawbacks. Plus, the stance would be so much better along with the handling :)
JC600
Yeah, guess your right there......just need to get the missus in a good mood, might get away with springs but no the whole kit as I've still got to get the Escort painted. :)

Hassen
Maybe get the missus out for a nice meal and drinks after. Then ask nicely if you can get the springs as you found them for much cheaper shipped from Germany. Hoping she says yes coz I managed to dig up the link :) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230828864235?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I myself am so very tempted now to get them and screw the idea of having the whole kit fitted. Damn late night internet window shopping!

Damn late night internet window shopping! found this on most their other items.. didnt look for it on the springs you were after but on the listing for fiesta springs it says "ATTENTION!!! The mentioned freight charges are only valid for Germany. Please ask for freight charges to other countries before bidding." :( :( :( :( :( :( Although, I did manage to get my headunit shipped from germany to my house within 3 days for £4.50!

I didn't check the ones for the Fiesta. Might be cheaper for you to get it from UK with free shipping. For us in Ireland, the shipping charges are just ridiculous. Just another option to check on eBay Germany in case they have cheaper prices.

I didn't even think though! Reckon you'll still have quite a saving on post if you got them from Germany :)
JC600
Finally talked the missus round, booked in for a remap a week on Friday. :D
Hassen
Wicked! Where you getting it remapped? And details please :) The car will be a different animal once it's remapped. A good few of us here have that done or running a tuning box. There's no looking back after. Did you get the blanking plate inserted btw? Another very simple and cheap mod that is very effective. Got mine in with the help of Sir Lenny and that 1st gear lag that you get at junctions/roundabouts is completely gone. Mpg has stayed pretty much the same. The car is much smoother through the entire rev range as a result. Total cost is about £4-5 and 1hr of your time with the right tools. Lenny has a guide on how to do it. Highly recommend it before the remap as they can tweak the software to tailor it with the plate then.
JC600
Getting done by Durham remaps, and will be a eco+ custom remap. Set up on the rolling road. With free diagnosis before hand, should have before and after results. Approx 135bhp and 295nm torque. Yes, one of my first mods was egr blanking plate and K&N replacement filter. :)
Hassen
That's well within tolerance limits I reckon as that's what most of us got here with just a remap. Good thing to get the rolling road setup. They sound like the business. Keep us posted on your experience.
zetec s steve
And with a hybrid 110 unit a mate has in his fiesta is running 160bhp before standard clutch started to slip will see 160-190 with new clutch 😜 only £395 matey

JC600
Got to balance the mods between the two, the Focus is the family car.....whilst the Escort is the project/restoration car. So the Escort takes priority with mods and parts. :)
JC600
Swapped my nightbreakers for Bosch pure light bulbs. Got to say I'm well impressed with the difference. :) And a bit darker.
