Have A 1.8 Tdci Fan Revving Up When Get To 2000 Rpm

i have a 1.8 tdci 07 when i get 2000 -2500 the fan in the car start to speeding up then stop at 2500 rpm

    so you it 2000 revs and the fan kicks in? but the fan stops when you hit 2500?

    If so that sounds like a cooling issue, perhaps a cracked coolant expansion tank or a bad thermostat?
