Clagac
I bought 52 plate fiesta finesse as my first car. There was a coolant leak which was coming from one of the core plugs. I had it changed and it has been fine for a while. I put my cool fans on and noticed a really strong sweet smell and steam started coming from under my bonnet. When I restarted the car the temp gauge is not moving from the bottom yet the temp warning light is on and there was orange spilling out from somewhere. Help? Thanks
Eddicus
That sounds like another coolant leak. Heck your reservoir, if low, top it up and clean the engine as much as possible before running again. It will help to determine where the leak is coming from. Ed
Gary.J
Definitely a heavy coolant leak. Whatever you do though, do not top up from tapwater. Best option is deionised water, then see where the leak is from, once repaired, fill with the correct mix of deionised water and coolant. Clagac
Thanks, can see the leak. Booked in for it done! Hopefully not too expensive to sort! Char
