Hi all just wondering If it isnormal for clutch biting point to be high. I have a 06 1.6tdci lx it has only done 50,000mls since new. Car runs great and pulls really well.

Hi Andrew,

The Ford range is all pretty much the same, the bite point isnt till around 40 - 60% of having the clutch pedal off the floor. This is perfectly normal by Fords standards.

to be fair the low milers can often be as much to worry about as the hard milers lol, as they are not well used which can make them more fragile, but on this point for now I dont believe you have anything to worry about!

yeah I wouldnt worry too much mate. If you want to check the health of it, just do the heel toe test and drop the clutch. If it stalls instantly with a bump you know its healthy,
