The St Top Speed

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if the fiesta ST has a limited to speed due to law n not what it can actually do. Like a limiter on it ?

If so can it be removed :P

I think the limit is how much your pants fill up before you give in and have to stop.

I've seen them 120-130 mph ish on tracks as standard no performance mods

Fair one I was just thinking as to if that was a good idea or not. My bad :(

Lol to be honest I don't get too boot mine too much above 70, traffic to and from work on the m27, go out in the forest and can't do more than 40/50 because of horses and other animals, I go out at night on the motorway and get pulled over for 'being out too late' . Im Feeling a track day soon!

It'll easily do 120-30. Mines is only a 1.6 diesel and I've had 120 out of it... On a private road of coarse ;)

It's 137 standard so a mp215 st maybe 141 /142 mph

Fair but that's on a dyno so not road conditions. No wind friction etc , but saying that it did look like it could keep going!

Guess so. Are the speedos very accurate ?

Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Ford OC

No they are out by 10% , need a good gos device to get an accurate reading I reckon.

There is a video of a us spec st smashing 140 mph on the road - YouTube

Ah I can't find it :(

Would be nice to be able to get 155 mph, but with the tolerances allowed up to 10% then it's likely the car is running below that, closer to 139 than 155.

My ZS has 155bhp and I've had 130 out of it (on private land :p) so im sure the ST can do better!

Did anyone notice how the seatbelt warning light came on at 140? Must have been worried it was going to come off the rollers

i have the Mountune performance kit, on track ive managed 149mph. i reckon i could push it a little more.
