Mk2 1.8 Tdci Limp Home

Featured Replies

OK, so can any one help, please.

My trusty 1.8 TDCI has developed a problem, it keeps going in to limp home mode and the red warning sign appears. It used to do it rarely and only for a couple of minutes so to be honest I didn't worry too much about it. However, now it does it nearly all the time, though not all the time.......... annoying.

My brother in law has a diagnostic machine and it's given me fault code P0670, glow plug control module, I have a new module to try but am I barking up the wrong tree? Could it be a connection somewhere as the problem isn't constant. I'm keen to try the new module as I have it but locating the thing is a bit tricky, searched forums and getting conflicting info. Tracing the wiring loom leads me heading under the battery???? Also I've read that if I put this new relay (module) in that ford will have to re-program it.

Any help gratefully recieved

Thanks
