2014 Focus: No Reverse Sensor Activation

Hello,

Yesterday afternoon, I noticed that the reverse sensor didn't activate when I put my car into that gear. To my knowledge nothing happened to the exterior of the car; I left my house and it was fine, but when I went to park at my destination, I didn't see the little "turn on or off" notification that usually appears in the info screen. I wasn't hit or anything, and there's no warning to tell me that it's malfunctioning, either.
