As I said I have ordered the shopping list. I still think red will look good so I will stick with it same as you have.

Also do you have a rocker switch in the obd compartment? The pics make it look like a neat install but would it be a waste just to have a switch for the bird bath lights on their own?

Maybe it would be better just to have them run of the standard dash light switch as your orinally suggested.

Although if I do want to add any later LED mods to the cup holder or door handles would it be possible to link these to the birdbath wiring and then add in the isloater rocker switch to turn all them on and off?

I have plenty of time to answer questions on the open forum rather than via a personal message because on the open forum its more documented and many people with same question can see the answers, so its concrete progress for all.

The pictures of the rocker switches are my dash pocket.

The black rocker switch is for my DRL's giving the option to drive in darkness,

The red illuminated switch is for my bird bath illumination and cup holder illumination and being an led equipped switch it also acts as an illuminator for the dash pocket aswell.

You can add a 12v rocker switch to the lighting at a later date and power all of your additional lighting from that switch no problem,

The rear footwell pads are coming from Housten Texas aswell if there the same supplier as mine,

Defo same part anyways,

If following the cup holder illumination guide id just fit the led to the front of the cup holder its bright enough to illuminate the whole thing,

Its too bright with three strips fitted,

10amp is more than sufficent mate 20amp is very heavy cable and unnecessary just for a few led's you could do it all with 5amp but i recommend 10amp just to be sure,

You could fit an inline fuse adaptor if desired but the interior sources your splicing in to already have individual fuses on the board under the glovebox.

Hi mate,

sorry for delay in response i was out buying a suit for wedding on 22nd

You can wire in the footwell lighting its on a seperate loom from the bird bath illumination,

You can also run the cable in for the bird bath illumination aswell if desired,

Id start with the illuminated ignition ring, then splice in to that under drives footwell,

splice red to blue and black to black

Run a single feed across the front drivers footwell to the passenger footwell splice a bulb socket to this cable at the drivers footwell and one on the passenger footwell continue this single feed in a backwards 7 formation across from ignition ring to passenger footwell then down the centre console,

Splicing in the bulb sockets where required and attaching the rear pods to the end

Under the centre console,

The single snake feed provides power to everything in one clean sweep saving weight aswell.

Just thought there mate,

It will be difficult to get the loom plugs across the A-pillar to the headlining

So instead of splicing in to the ignition loom,

You could cut the loom at footwell length,

This will be easier to fish two cables through the headlining instead of a bulky ignition ring or loom plugs,

Can then rejoin the ignition ring along with the footwell loom together in the drivers footwell once fished through.

looks fantastic mate,

Those 5 SMD pods look much better than the 3 smd pods ive got fitted to mine,

They dont make the 3 SMD pods anymore hence why i linked the five smd model but they spread the light much better than the three,

Tempted to upgrade those now myself,

Ignition ring and front footwell's are looking great too, i like the genuine ford matts aswell.

The bird bath illumination will compliment the footwells at night too.

I especially like the way it all fades on/off in time with locking/unlocking the car or start/stopping engine.

i definitely will mate they have dropped around 40 pounds since the last time i looked th3m up around three years ago,

Great price now though, roll on Thursday :)

they are a great fit as well. especially the drivers one as it doesn't move all over the place when getting in and out.

should last a good while to.
