Replacing Exterior Door Trim

Hi all,

I have searched the internet for any advice on this and was just wondering if anyone has successfully removed the exterior door trim on their Fiesta and replaced it with colour coded trim?

I have a Zetec S MK6 and would really like to have colour coded trim and door handle etc. I know the handles can be removed ok but unsure about the trim.

I planned to buy ones from Ford that are ready to paint, get them painted and then fitted. Is this worth it and are they easy enough to get back on?

Any advice/picture from anyone who has accomplished this would be great.
