Getting Sony Radio To Start On Ignition

Featured Replies

OK maybe I'm being really silly, but how do I get the sony radio to start on ignition and switch off when I stop the engine like the ford radio used to do in my old Fiesta Zetec?

I'm sure I'm being silly with this one. Lol

probably as simple of swapping the feed wires around?

had to do this on an old ford i had,but might be better waiting for someone WHO really knows.

This is on my new fiesta ST so hoping I don't have to do any messing with the wires. Lol

It should turn off when you open the door, doesn't go off with the ignition

My ZS goes off when I open the door, and on again when I start the engine IF I had it turn off by opening the door.

I'll assume it's the same for the ST.

Arrr I'll try that in the morning then. Also should the windows go up automatically if left down when I'm locking the car? Sorry for all these noobie questions :)

Radio goes off when you open the door regardless of stereo that's when the constant feed is cut on the car.

Hold the lock button on the fob for a few seconds to close the windows (if you have that feature)

Not all of us have that baller luxury, even Ford don't know who's got it, according to them 3dr models shouldn't have it at all.

Thanks for the help, so obvious when you know how it works. lol

Sadly the windows dont go up, as I found out today when I left them slightly down, locked the car and walked away ....off went the alarm ...at least we know the ST has an effective alarm system! :)

Did you try the holding the close button for a few seconds? The windows don't close when you lock the car.
