Radiator Fan Not Activating.

Featured Replies

I have a 1.6 mk6.5 Zetec S.

-Seems to be going through coolant faster than usual

-The aircon just doesn't seem to work, just blows ambient temperature

-The radiator fan doesn't spin with the Aircon on OR off

Is there any fuses or anything that commonly blow or anything, what are the main things to check?

thanks.

Does the temperature gauge rise when it's standing still? Get it up to temperature and leave it on your drive running and see if the temperature needle goes above half. If it does the fan should cut on. If it doesn't the fan's not working.

I saw somewhere a guy had a similar problem with a Mk6 ST. Turned out to be the fan wasn't even plugged in.

Try this and if it doesn't work get it checked or have a fiddle yourself :)

Even after driving and then idling on my driveway it doesn't go over half temperature, but the fan still does not come on
