How To Set Up A Car Sound System Properly?

Featured Replies

Hi guys.

I finally completed the install of speakers, amps, subwoofer and sound deadening. Thread linked here:

http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/52338-2014-upgrades/

Now I need to tune the whole system for it to sound the best to me. I know sound is totally subjective but would like to hear the different ways to tune the whole thing for it to sound as cohesive as it can be so as to extract the most of it.

If anyone has any methods or pointers, I would love to hear it :)

Thanks

For home cinema systems I used to use the THX test tone (designed to calibrate cinema systems when THX was first used).

Always worked a treat for me.

If set up right the tone wilk surge from front to rear and then surround you with one clear tone.

Thanks Clive. I use the same for the home cinema system and didn't think of using it for the car though. Good call :)

I tried that link you posted but no joy in it working. I will google for another one.

Search for Zedge then search for THX_cinema.
