zed550
Hey guys, while cleaning the interior today and had the engine on for a good 10 minutes, i saw something (water?) slowly dripping from a screw under the bottom of the car. - see pic attached. Has anyone seen anything like this? should i be worried, or is it just water? Thanks in advance,
Gary.J
Has it been raining recently? if so it could just be run off from the engine bay. Otherwise, did you have your air con running with the engine? Could be the water drain pipe for the condenser routed incorrectly.
zed550
Hi, no rain recently. And yes I did have the air con on for about 5 mins, but then i switched it off. The only reason i spotted it because i was parking on a bit of slope and started to see a small creek developing. Wondering if this should be checked with ford? SandyCat
It's from the air con I am sure and is normal but get it checked if you want. Any garage can have a look at the rad and pump for you.
zed550
That's great to hear that it shouldn't be anything serious. Cheers for the info! ;) Sent from my Nexus 5 using Ford OC mobile app
MattDRX
Just condensation from the ac and it's just the path the water is taking. No issue at all. Edited July 29, 2014 by Stoney871 Removed Ap Tag
NQbbe
My Fiesta does the same - haven't checked the exact location underneath, but it's roughly the same spot. And as the others say it's the aircon condensator - perfectly normal.
