I was sanding down my car for respray for prep and I found this

It was full of paper and bodyfiller, I can't afford a whole new rear quarter I have brought a new rear arch to weld in but the door jam part will be hard. Any ideas ?

I would do a bit of plate welding, get a mate who has a welder just to weld a bit of sheet metal on to that then sand it down so it's nice and smooth

Hope this helps

Thanks,

So no ideas about getting the right shape. How about fiberglassing?

I would be making that sort of repair out of several bits of metal. Using card to make templates, Sellotape then together if you think you can get a bigger section out of one piece of metal. Rolling a small section of metal should be easy enough to match that I would think.
