6Cd Stereo Brightness In Mk2

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I find the brightness of the 6CD radio display at daytime less than adequate (useless) on my 05 Focus Ghia Estate even on max brightness (adjuster by headlight switch)

Does anyone know a way to increase the max brightness?

Thanks

you talking about the sony radio like this one? i have the same one installed and youre right it is almost unreadable in daylight. seems designed that way i dont think it can get any brighter since its a black tint over the lcd

Yes, that is the one.

I am still hopeful there is a work around of somekind to make it brighter as it must be installed in hundreds of thousands of cars and everybody must have the same issue with it.

I like this unit. Easy to use, good steering controls. But I cannto see the clock, which is just as annoying as not seeing the radio station. And I don't want to look at my watch or phone while driving.
