Coolant Degas Flow Control Valve Finis Number?

Hi,

I've have had this DTC show up

P2678-62

Code: P2678 - Coolant Degassing Valve Control Circuit / Open

Additional Fault Symptom:

- Signal is Below Minimum Threshold

I spoke to a tech who said he's never seen one fail. Well always a first ha!

Seems to be to do with providing cooling or heating quicker and was only used on a few models then dropped.

Advice I had off the tech was if it's not causing any problems don't worry about it.

If its not to expensive and hard to fix I'll do it myself.

I have found its location in the workshop manual but can't find the part.

Any one help?
