  • If the stock hose is louder it can be deceptive and give the illusion of more power, if you are timing the 0-60etcyourself its difficult to get consistant results, and the differences (of the 2 hoses

Good idea Nathan but you don't want the camping gear in when driving the roads, far too much excess weight.

I'm planning on sleeping in the car :P

Probably about 40 ish , have you found that at 60 or 70 in 6th if you hit the throttle you accelerate a lot easier?

I've barely had it in 6th today, normally when I'm trying to have some fun on country roads I leave it in 5th so I have more control and don't have to bother changing down much. I'll get it on the motorway tomorrow and see how it is in 6th.

And I'm up for a trip to South Wales or somewhere else too. We could try and get a cheap deal on hotel rooms if we plan it well in advance.

Yer we either sleep in the cars and stock up on mc Donald's for few days. Or what Phil says book travel lodge :) there as cheap as camping if u take in to account extra fuel and hassle of putting up putting down tents, not having a good wash etc etc lol

Looking good. Is it a metal one?

Mine turned up on Saturday, feels plastic to me but Mountune say it's metal, not that it really matters.

I took it to Ford, it's only a 3 minute drive anyway. They didn't really line it up with the ST badge but it still looks good.

Edit: actually they kind of lined it up diagonally, like how the ST badge is slanted. And yours looks really good Mark with the yellow ST badge.

Like the yellow inlays on that, have been tempted to do it

Looks well :) I want one :) I also like them yellow inlays :)

I haven't properly read this thread but by how much do you reduce engine life by tuning it?

The MP215 and MP135 are such a low state of tune I doubt there would be any reduction in engine life, which will also be a reason it retains the cars warranty.

Maintenance and how it's driven would have more of an effect on engine life.

As above. When your moving to stage 2 kit and bigger turbos etc that's where I imagine engine life would be reduced although Simon at sitech racing is running around 350bhp on standard internals. These engines seem to take a lot

Any pics of what things have been changed/ added to the car please ?

The only way is the ford way

Just for the MP215?

The only part replaced is the bottom part of the airbox, it keeps the OE lid. There's anew panel filter and the box has an additional air feed at the bottom with a hose that sits behind the foglight.

The install the map and fit (if you want it fitted) the Mountune badge on the bootlid, which is what give most of the power increase, lol
