What's This?

Can anyone tell me what these are - I have one under each front seat, they were just lying there (not connected to anything) when I got the car. I have searched all over the internet but still don't know what they are?

Thanks in advance!

They are air vents, to send air from the A/C/blower system to the rear of the car.

You should put them back else it will just be blowing at the underside of your seat, lol.

Ahh okay, Thank you for telling me that! How do I put them back though? They were not attched to anything, if I look under the seats will I see something to attch them to?

I think it is just a hole in the carpet, they just slot in to the vent ducting, not a lot holding them in.

When I was trying to find a rattle I had suspected it was them as they are so loose.

They just push back into place, 2 second job.

You'll find a plastic slot in the middle of a hole in the carpet under each seat.

They face rearwards btw ;)

Thank you both for the replies. Much appreciated!

On a related note, anyone find the air flow when split face/feet is really low On face? I was thinking it was because my previous cars never had rear vents an I'm not used to it but thought I'd best ask. Full face is fine, feet only is a bit meh, split is barely noticeable even on 4 + recirc on

Looks like a multi-barrelled pea shooter to me...

I've only got one :( and it's sitting in a box just across the room :(

I tend to leave a few bits and bobs in my rear footwell and everytime I do, instead of moving it out of THAT footwell, careless feet just push it all under the seat further and knock the !Removed! vent off! One day I might try and get another one and fit them both...

these are part of the climate control heating and cooling distribution system allowing air to be directed on to the feat of the back seat passengers aswell as drying out the rear mats in wet conditions.

RS on this part translates to "Right Side" meaning its from under the drivers seat (RHD vehicle).
