Spark Plug Seized

Featured Replies

Hi, just had a service done and my 5th plug seized and they said the will have to take the gasket off to get to it. Anyone had this problem if so how much did you pay to get it done? Thanks

If you can find someone who has a Sykes Pickavant or any other brand who makes them? Vibro gun then you might find they can remove it easily. It's basically an impact gun with a limited torque (10,20,30 or 40Nm) which is great for seized spark plugs, glow plugs, injectors etc.

Getting the head removed won't be a cheap job I'm afraid.

Are you posting via the FOC app? Just removed multiple duplicate posts but as far as I know it's because of the app..

Know where yer comin from but not sure if many people know of plus gas they would tend to go for wd nowt wrong with that just found that when you need something unseizing that's in a more delicate place like this plus gas is the better option wd seems to be more readily available though

+1 for plus gas, i use it now instead of wd40. does a better job

Well look at it this way if you break it trying your in no worse situation as you would have to have done it the other way possible I just wouldn't go hung ho just sort of tease it out .

Plus gas is definitely a superior product and designed for this sort of thing unlike wd40.

I use plus gas all the time, mostly the aerosol type but also the tin that you can pour which would be better for this application - and cheaper.

Just don't throw anything in your box in a rage as I did once.. Everything coated in the stuff. I'm sure I can still smell it lol

Gonna have to get me thus plus gas stuff
