Evening all,

Recently noticed a squeeking that sounds as though it's coming from inside the car, usually when going over subtle bumps along the road, seems to have got progressively worse over the last couple of days..

I've cleared the inside of the car out, checked under the glovebox, around handbrake mechanism, in doors and still can't seem to locate the noise.. The more I try and find it the more it annoys me!!

I'm wondering if this is a common problem or if anyone else has experienced this.. And if so where it's likely to be coming from!? Thanks!

Well I've spent half of today trying to figure it out, I thought it was coming from the boot, maybe rubber seal, stoppers or boot trim but all seems okay...

It's always sounded as though it's coming from the inside of the car (behind CD player/gearstick area) gave my exhaust a bit of a shake after the car was warmed up and that seems to be what's caused it..

It never happens to squeak/rattle when engine is cold but as I do a fair few miles every day it's driving me nuts!

I'm gonna take it in to my local garage in the morning and see if they can find anything obvious to sort it out..

Could just be a clip come loose causing extra play in the exhaust system, will let you know tomorrow pal!

Check the trim round the speedo, mine started creaking after 3 months. I sprayed some dry lubricant between the trim and the binnacle and that shut it up.

Ha! Mine did this when the heat shield over the exhaust was loose.. Maybe worth having a check? My local stealer done it for me while I was having se other work done otherwise I think they were gonna charge £20
