Where To Buy A Quality Mk2 Front Wishbone?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I thought I'd found some Lemforder wishbones at Eurocarparts, but it turns out they are 18mm and apparently I need 21mm on a 2010 Focus 1.6 TDCI.

I'm now really struggling to find a quality replacement (other than Ford dealer).

The guy at ECP says Lemforder don't do one for the car. I find this hard to believe but cannot find anything that says otherwise so maybe he was right.

Can anybody suggest an alternative and place to buy?

Thanks

EDIT....

It turns out I can get QH ones for £70 locally, TRW are £130 .

A lot of people say QH are good, but that seems too cheap to be a good 'oem level quality' part?

PS Are TRW a good brand?

Never had any problems with the ocap stuff to honest. They are OE suppliers to VAG amongst others and make parts for supercar manufacturers too.

Think they are about 55 at moment at euros

I got a set of wishbones for my old 1.6 mk1 LX from ebay for £50

In the end I managed to get a discount on the TRW wishbones.

They look a quality item, totally oem.

So fingers crossed they live up to their reputation and I'm not swapping them 6 months down the line.

Am I right in saying TRW and lemforder are owned by ZF trading? So quality should be fine.
