Mk1 Focus 98-04 Brake Question From Mot

Featured Replies

Hi all weird question car sailed thru m.o.t. but got told that the brake load valve sensor will need replacing. Thing is ive look online for this part and not having any luck with finding it. Any ideas cheers

Anyone?

Hi, just looked at the manual for 2001 estate, it says that it is only on (none ABS estates) and is on the rear cross member, you can't miss it a lever with a spring going to a unit with 4 brake pipes, it called (load-sensing valve) (LAV) and most likely only form Ford new or second hand from a scrapyard..

usual thing is for it to be seized up, you might be lucky to get one from a scrappy but its one of the most common problems due to people not using an estate as a van and weighing the rear of the car down, Motor factors these days are able to source them fairly reasonable. so on the phone you go me thinks. :D :driving:
