Hi

My car needed a clean and had bird poo on the roof so I gave it a wash and polish but and I can still see stains on the paintwork where the bird poo was.

Is there a product available that will remove these stains?

Mods don't do it. The forum has automatic word recognition.

Have you tried a mild rub with colour cut stuff? Just be careful you don't go through the clearcoat. Bird poo contains acid and should be washed off immediately.

had this problem myself in the past.

as i understand it most modern 2K paint finishes have a partially self healing clear coat,

the action of the bird droppings drying on the finish shrivels the clear coat causing it to wrinkle up.

you can polish it out with a cutting compound, or gently heat it with a hair dryer to help it reform,

but a few good days of direct hot sunshine will let the paint relax and smooth out over time.

so i'd leave it be for a while as see how it goes.

the best defense is to have a good quality long lasting sealant that stops the droppings from gripping the paint surface and wrinkling it in the first place...

I had this, removed with t-cut on a hot sunny day. Tried on an overcast day but didn't work. I now keep my eye out for the stuff.
