and it all becomes real tomorrow morning when i go and sort out the payment. Seems like an age since ordering it back in June but almost there. A couple of trips already planned in Sept so wont take long to rack up the miles.

    Similar here! Was way back at end of May/early June I did all my test drives, decided and ordered a few weeks after that and now the wait is nearly over.

    Could have picked it up a couple weeks ago (dealer pushed hard for me to do that, as you'd expect) but really pleased I've been patient enough to wait for Monday 1st. :)

    I've not even test driven one :unsure: Signed my finance docs tonight ready to send off tomorrow, should be arriving at the dealers 20th September, ages away :(

    Wow....not sure I'd be brave/crazy enough to buy without a test drive!!

    I drove loads of cars, and at the start I never thought the ST would be my final choice - without the test drive (well, a couple of long ones actually) I definitely wouldn't have ended up choosing it.

    Why no test drive?

    All my local Ford dealers couldn't find me one in the spec I wanted to test drive (Zetec S Ecoboost 125), so I just went ahead and put an order in. I'm sure it'll be great, coming from a big old heavy E46 3 series I'm sure it'll drive great, I hope? LOL

    Yeah I think you'll be alright. Only comparable car imo is the Suzuki swift sport, that's a load of fun as well and similar speed and price.

    Anyway roll on a week or so :)
