Rear Passenger Door Won't Open

Featured Replies

Dear ford members

I have a Ford focus Titanium 1.8 tdci on a 2006 plate. I went to put my shopping in my car and the rear drivers side passenger door won't open although all other door's open pefectly fine. I have used the central locking system on my car but to no avail. I have also tried using my key to unlock the door but still won't open. Does anyone have any idea's as to whats wrong with it? could it be a simple fuse or could it be more serious? any help would be very much appreciated. Many thanks.

I have tried the key trick with turning it on and off 4 times and the rear door still won't open. When i use the central locking the faulty door interior lock doesn't unlock completley yet still won't open. Any one know where the fuse for doors are situated?

I've had this on my Mk1 a few times. it comes and goes. I think it could be related to moisture getting to the electronics for the lock.

A bit of WD40 might sort it. Now for the 'but'. I can't remember how to get the WD40 in there.
