Soot Coming From Turbo And Back Of Engine

Featured Replies

Hi all, have a focus 1.6 tdci and on hard revs it blows soot out of the turbo and also it comes up from the back of the engine. Dpf was recently replaced and a blanking plate fitted on egr. Car is also sluggish in 1st and 2nd and occasionaly kangeroos which sometimes clears and other times have to switch engine off. No warning lights and no fault codes. Any ideas?? Cheers

when was the last time the Fuel filter was replaced ? that can cause kangarooing and poor acceleration.

Has the dpf been fitted correctly joins at turbo and after the dpf (naturally) poor fitment gasses will escape.

They can be a real pain in the posture. :D :driving:

Your looking at either a split turbo pipe or hose, or needing the egr blanking off
