How High Is Your Clutch?

Featured Replies

Just a quick question really.....

How high is the bite on everyone elses clutch.

I have a 2010 Focus 1.8 Petrol and the bite point is ridiculously high on it. I was advised that it was due to the hydraulic clutch that it was so high, but I don't know if I was being a fed a load of cobblers.

2009. exactly the same! 3 in the works car park, all the same..

Right at the end of pedal travel.

Good to know it isnt just mine then....it was confusing as the clutch is absolutely fine. No slipping. Pulls away in 2nd etc

Cheers guys....feeling better about that...just out of interest, what do you reckon the clutches are good for? Just got up to 50k last month

Got160k on mine

the problem with the focus clutch is theres no warning when it goes mine went before 80k even after a new clutch the bite point goes back to being high

+1

I'm on 70100 and always have had a high bite on the focus. I actually prefer the old cable type clutch but you have to move with the times. :)

And mine..
