4 months in and one of illuminated scuff plates is now not illuminated . Going to take bk to dealer, anyone had similar probs?

    Loads of people on STOC have, seems to be a problem with the ribbon cable where it connects to the unit. It'll be done under warranty but that's only for the first year on this part and they are over £200 new.

    Is it possible you can keep the broken one phil? For pictures of how it is busted, I never thought about it when mine went, I'm thinking once everyone st's are a year old and 1 of the plates goes out its 200 for a new one , so we are gonna need to know how to diy fix them.

    I think the dealer keeps them or sends them back,to ford. Someone who's car was over 1 year did repair theirs so it can be done.

    I wonder if everyone who this has happened to signed a petition to ford saying that this is an obvious design/manufacturing fault and as such it should be warranties for longer or at least as long as the first owner owns the car., I wonder if they'd listen. (Probably not)
