Problem Starting When Hot

Featured Replies

I have a 1.6 petrol focus which struggles to start after a long run eg- engine very warm...

Also after a short run it starts BUT 9/10 times the Engine malfunction light stops on but car runs fine.

Its got to the stage now that if car is warm i'm scared to turn it of incase it wont start again so i leave it running outside shops and things.

Any tips would be Helpfull

Well if the management lights on there will be a fault code so thats the first place to start it sounds like a faulty temp sensor or a coil pack issue the codes would be a good place to start
