Monkey Trouble

Featured Replies

Just bought a Fiesta Style 08 last month.

After a visit to Longleat I am a newbie in need of advice.

I made the mistake of taking the car through the monkey enclosure.

One evil monkey jumped on the bonnet and ripped out the washer jet. I dealt with this by giving him a good soaking with the wash wipe.

Evil monkey spent some time on the roof and enjoyed the rest of the trip on the rear screen.

I thought I had won this encounter but on leaving the enclosure I was stopped by the keeper advising that I had a bit of trim missing.

On inspection I found that the entire roof strip on one side had been ripped off and deposited on the roof.

The hi level break light is cracked.

To add insult to injury he had taken a huge dump on the roof.

Can anyone advise of the best glue to stick this strip back with ??

Also are the high level brake lights sold as complete units or can i get a lens on its own ??

Many thanks for any help

Chris

That's amazing! I went to knowsley safari park in one of my previous cars and went through the monkey enclosure. They really do like washer jets, but that was the only thing it ripped off, and thankfully didn't lay a cable on my roof!

Not as bad as your experience, but the car did fail its MOT on the missing washer jet! Sorry I've no advise for your missing bits

Oh wow up here we have Blair Drummond but they got rid of the monkeys in the drive in part :o a woulda jumped out ma car n grabbed the *******

Actually now a think of it it's prob why they took them out

Ps when I first read this I thought you were high or something haha (didn't know what longleat is)

we have those monkeys here in SA aswell, only difference is they sell those parts on after stripping them ;)

good luck with the fix

I would have gone ape.

Tiger seal it, wont ever come off. I go to Longleat quite often and it amazes me people still take there cars through that enclosure, Worst Ive seen is a new range rover sport being ripped to shreds.

Thanks for the replies.

Just reserved a tube of tiger seal and will stick my car back together tomorrow.

Lesson learned.

Chris

Thanks for a good laugh on Friday. As far as I recall last time I was at Longleat the monkey drive through is optional..I have always opted out and watched others getting trashed from a distance.
