Baz-c
My focus 1.8tdci 2004 has started to make a rattling sound and it eases when I depress the clutch. The engine also sounds rough like a petrol running on 3 cylinders, and the power is down. Any views or opinions would be much appreciated. I think that it may be the clutch dmf if so can I do this myself? I not long paid £1850 for the car amd money is tight Thanks in advance guy's
ben1191
Its called flywheel chatter, mines been doing this since i bought it really but the clutch doesnt slip and it hits 60 in its claimed time,id have thought if its only just started making the noise it wouldnt be that bad?LUK dmf is £211.20 at the moment in europarts, generally reccomended to change the clutch aswell though but its up to you really, racks up to be an expensive job and is one of the downsides of a diesel :/
