Water In Passenger Footwell

Featured Replies

Hi. I have a 53 plate mk6 fiesta and over the past year I have been unable to sort out this problem, any help is greatly appreciated!

Last winter, the car was constantly misting up, and after a while I noticed a puddle coming through the passenger footwell carpet. Having stripped the passenger side seat, carpet and trim out I was able to get all the water out, it didn't smell like anything other than rainwater but probably filled a bucket!

Since then I've left the carpet and soundproof material out and have even cut a section of the interior bulkhead heavy layer material out. I feel like I've looked for absolutely everything, but the problem remains. Ford dealer offered a few ideas, none of which fixed the issue. Checked the pollen filter, and air con pipe.

I am not looking forward to this winter, and all the misting up that comes with this problem, and am desperate any advice. I am loathed to scrap the car but I may have to because I won't sell it with this nightmare issue.

Just joined the forum having downloaded the 5 star rated FOC app. This is my last resort, I'm confident the answer is in here somewhere! Thanks.
