Hello Mark your ST is looking very smart

I was thinking of getting My front / rear grills and fog light surrounds painted as well how hard was it to take then off.

Cheers Matt

Thanks, the front are easy it just feels like your going to break them, so you end up not pulling hard enough.

Lower centre grill, I pulled each upright top and bottom till it popped then moved to the next one till the grill came out.

Fog light surrounds, use something like a plastic trim tool or cover the bumper as you prise the inside edge out enough to get your fingers behind and pull, I find the drivers side to be more difficult. You can undo the 3 torx screws at the front of the wheel arch liner and get to the clips/tags from behind.

The rear needs some rivets drilling out and 2 plastic nuts removing on the inside edge of the painted section. Then you pull it all off in one piece. You will need 4 rivets from ford (£2each) they spread out like an anchor when used. Some people have used self tappers or plastic nuts and bolts.

I bought another set of plastics when I had mine done. The foglights are £12 each, front grill £16 which I don think is too bad, rear is £63 though.

I agree with you I will just buy a new set of plastics get painted them painted first

Thanks for your help

Matt

No problem.

Just notice your number plate, looks good in black. Not many places to enjoy the car on Guernsey is there? The Coast roads are good but the inner road are really tight.

Very nice!!

I do like the black and silvers plates and no letters I do get some funny looks when in UK of France and your right not many places to drive fast in Guernsey with a 35mph speed limit but we can get around the little lanes nice and quick (have been stopped a couple of times for speeding lol)
