Hi everyone hope someone can help I've got a 56 1.6 focus tdci the trouble is it now won't start all the dash warning lights come on and little red lights flashs at top of cluster and the mileage read out goes to little lines . If I turn key on / off some times car will start but there is no throttle it will only tick over but for this the car run spot on thanks for any help

    I've hade a similar problem with my focus. Check the starter Motor leads one of the nuts on my'n comes lose for time to time

    Sounds like an ECU issue tbh the PCM when being programmed shows lines instead of the mileage as the mileage is stored in at least the PCM.

    That's my guess, can you get on a diagnostics machine as that may help to narrow the problem down.

    I'm also guessing these are fly by wire like my Ztt was, so if it starts but won't rev then the PCM is not getting a signal from the accelerator pedal to tell the injectors to open and inject fuel. So I would be fairly sure it is either PCM or wiring related along the way.
