Picking Up The Beast!

Featured Replies

Evening all,

Picking up the new ST tomorrow (thought you all should know) and I want to do a couple of easy mods just so I'm busy as well as entertained by the sheer brilliance of the motor in the first few weeks of ownership..

Ideally I'd like to do little things like;

- Colour code mist jets *frozen white*
-Wind Deflectors

Nothing too major!

Also toying with the idea of replacing the lights but don't know what the standard Xenon's are like... any good? Pretty sure I've got a 6k HID kit on my current Fiesta and they're great, look super bright white, if not a little blue so something similar if the factory fitted bulbs aren't up to much!

All Ideas welcome, and if anyone can point me in the right direction w/regards to the jets and deflectors please let me know!

Cheers

If you are talking about the Fiesta ST they don't have xenons

Really?! ahhhh !Removed!! I thought I read in the book somewhere that the ST3 came with them? or another bulb thats 'uprated' from standard bulb. Looks like lights are a necessity then! :P

Yeah there are few threads on here about headlights really depends what you want, personally I'd transfer your HIDs across.

Not really got the time as I'm going tomorrow morning unless one of their tech's can do it!

I'm sad to be getting rid of my current car, won't miss the BC coilies though, pain in the a*se and back! lol

I doubt they would as they are illegal

Ahah that did come across my mind, but then I thought why would they take my car in as part ex anyway?! Most of it's illegal :')

Plenty of uprated bulbs about osram, halfords etc.

You can get climair wind deflectors from a ford dealer. Look up MAB motorsport on Facebook for colour coded mist jets, you'll be to busy enjoying the car to fit these for a while anyway.

aha cheers pal,

I was looking at Osram Night Breaker Unlimited and Phillips Crystal vision (though don't think they're road legal?)

Mist washer jets are the first thing I'll do I think... just to make it look a little better.

The Climair ones any good? What about Heiko?

Think there pretty much the same.

Yes everyone seems to be recommending the Crystal Visions because they are a really good match for the DRLs in the colour of light they give off, but you're right they're not road legal but that shouldn't really matter, they are only 0.1k brighter than the Osram Cool Blue bulbs I got which are road legal. Although these look like they are maybe not quite as white as the DRLs, but I need to wait until I can see it next to a car with the Crystal visions to compare.

The Night Breakers are great for full beam though. Also get some chrome indicator bulbs while you're at it ;)

Yeah don't worry they're all on my list :')

But seriously - hadn't test driven the fiesta.. Oh my god I've never smiled so much in my life! The sound it gives off is nothing like I've ever heard before XD

The dealer was trying to show me the sync features til he realised I was getting impatient and just wanted to speed off haha

Lol for me it was the other way round, I wanted to make sure I understood how most of the kit worked and had to keep asking the dealer questions. And yeah the sound from the symposer is great :)

The only annoying thing about it... The Kamikaze bugs that honed in on the car during the ride home, pesky little f*ckers, will have to wash them off and get all the paintwork/upholstery protected

Very nice mate!

Must resist in getting one haha

You'll be washing it at least once a week.
