Pity they're illegal to use.

Plus the company who sold them to you can be prosecuted for producing 'show plates' which are against the law to sell

:O no way I thought only ones with custom backgrounds were illegal to use on the road.

To be street legal you can only have the Euro or regional logos on the plate.

The plate must display the producing company name or web address, postcode and BSAU145D on it.

Companies that list plates as for offroad or show only are committing an offence.

Your not allowed the logos either end or the text at the bottom of the plate, you can have country id GB, eng, wales etc, it must the plate makers name and BS number.

These would have been sold as show plates only.

Sorry to put a downer on you.

Read this on their site though saying they use road legal font and side badges.

"Car Legal Style Plates

If you need a number plate, for your Car, that is in the same style as a road legal plate then let PlateCreator.com make this for you. We use the road legal fonts and side badges."

However as the company is in Dublin they do not need to comply with BSAU145D.

You will get pulled with those I'm afraid.

They say they use 'Road legal style' but do not actually state that the plates are legal or not so therefore are being evasive.

I'd keep them for shows/offroad only, on the road you're taking the risk.

Sorry to whizz on your chips Fella.

I made sure I kept the lettering and background standard :) so hope that's the case

I don't get why anyone would risk damage to their car by having anything football related, e.g. car stickers. You know what idiots are out there.

Just to be safe I've just ordered a pair of Legal GB euro vinyl stickers to put on the left side

The BS mark is just the standard that the blank plate has to meet.

I ordered some from Demon Plates last night, just the reg and the legal markings so hopefully they will look good on the car :)
