Mountune Hoses

Featured Replies

Mountune have announced on face book yesterday and today that the charge pipes, boost hoses and intake hoses are now fully covered on the ford warranty, this is for the ST and 1.0l ecoboost.

Good news

Guess If it's fitted by Ford ?

I wouls assume this don't include if you self fit them?

It a hose it's not like there's a wrong way to fit them or they need special tools to fit, aslong as you make sure the hose,is all the way on and the clamps are tight it should be fine. The intake hose on the ST takes less than 5 mins to fit so a dealer might fit it for free if you bought the hose off them, the boost hoses are a bit more awkward to fit though.

not meaning its hard to fit them but with like springs etc you would need ford to fit them to add to warranty...... this is what we mean lol

How would ford know if youve fitted them or ford ? That's what mark is saying. Aslong as there fitted correctly you wouldn't know :)

With the springs that's if you buy the eibach that ford sell, are those springs warranty ok though? ie if they lead to another part wearing would that part be replaced under warranty, I don't think it would be. Ford dealers will fit any parts you want to your car, their workmanship will have its warranty and so will any parts bought from them but, that doesn't mean it will keep the cars warranty from Ford.

You could buy similar hoses or intercoolers from other companies and have them fitted by ford, if an fault occurs that may be due to these parts the warranty claim may be turned down, if the Mountune ones are fitted by you or an I dependant garage it won't be as ford have approved these parts.

Mountune parts are not sold exclusively by ford, therefore they have no control over where you buy them or who fits them. The MP215/135/275 upgrades need to be done at a ford dealer or Mountune HQ because the maps loaded through etis, unless using the Mtune handset but if that's fitted by Mountune they load your details onto etis anyway.

Spoken To my local Ford and they would know because you have to keep the invoice (for fitting) as proof and with the springs it's any eibach that Ford support it gets added in so if another problem was caused by this product it still would be covered under warranty aslong as Ford fitted it

He said at the end as much as he's aware of atm
